The third block of the 2011-12 school year is under way and the first week is completed.  Students are filling classes quickly.  There are a few openings mainly in the evening for students still hoping to enroll at Estrella High School.  There are many things happening this block so be sure to stay up to date on the calendar and news.

Students who did not start this block on the first day will be required to attend Friday flex to catch up.

There is no school this Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  The office will also be closed.  For any questions or concerns please contact the front office.

Do you still owe time?  Need to get caught up on work?

This Friday is the last flex offered for the block.  Four full periods of flex will be offered to allow students to make up time and/or work before finals week.

Be sure to sign up for the bus and make sure you are at the stop bright and early!  Don't lose your credit just because you didn't come make up your absences.

Estrella High School faculty and staff would like to wish all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

As a reminder, there will be no school on Thursday, November 24 and no Flex on Friday, November 25.  The office will also be closed for the two days.  Classes will resume on Monday, November 28.

Due to the holidays, we have only three Fridays remaining for students to flex absences.  Students are asked to plan accordingly.

The schedule for this Friday, October 21 is as follows:
Period 1  8:00am - 9:10am
Period 2  9:15am - 10:25am
Period 3  10:30am - 11:40am
Period 4  11:45am - 12:55am
Period 5  1:00pm - 2:10pm
Period 6  2:15pm - 3:25pm

*Morning students who have a fourth hour or Afternoon students who have a third hour will still be required to find their own transportation to attend the extra class.

Lunch will not be served on Friday, due to early release.
There will not be flex at all this Friday.

This Friday, September 16, flex will not be held due to a scheduled inservice for all teachers and staff.  This means that we only have two flex Fridays remaining for Block 1.  Flexing the last week of the block is not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made with Mrs. Zordani or Ms. Alston.

Check your outstanding absences to be sure you are still receiving credit in your classes either through PASS, or with your teachers.  Time is running out to make up those absences! 

Tomorrow, August 19, is another flex Friday.  Don't forget to make those absences up!  Stay on top of your flexing and make sure you come the same week as your absence to ensure you get full credit for your work.  Don't need to flex?  Come anyway and use the time for extra tutoring and quiet time to get work done.  Check the back of the main office for your pickup stop and time if you are riding the bus.  We look forward to seeing you here!
