Estrella High School

For the last 6 years, Estrella High School has held an event to get the students and staff in the holiday spirit.  The Share Joys event is a way to collect donations to be able to help families within the school as well as out in the community.   This year, the C2 club is hosting the event which will be held on Thursday, December 15.

To participate, students are asked to donate $5 to the C2 club.  All monies collected for the Share Joys event willl be used to purchase items that will help families have a happy holiday season.  In return for the donations, students will be treated to a day of fun.  Students can choose to participate in arts and crafts, contests, watch movies, play games, and more.

In conjunction with the Share Joys event, the C2 club is also hosting a Door Decorating Contest for each classroom.  The winning class will receive a prize.

Participation in the Share Joys event is not mandatory.   The event is a "thank you" to students who donate.  Those who do not wish to participate will continue a regular day of school in a classroom. Please keep in mind that it is still a required school day.  Students who are absent will be required to flex that absence on Friday.

All students were given a handout detailing times of events.  All donations need to be turned in by Tuesday, December 13.  Any questions or concerns should be brought to Mrs. Manning in room 107 or Mrs. Osterberg in room 108.

On Thursday, November 10, Estrella High School held a fundraiser at Golden Corral.  Every dinner purchased meant more money for the school.

The night started off a bit slow, but before anyone knew what was happening, it suddenly became standing room only.  EHS Rhythms performed for almost two hours to a crowded room of students, parents, and staff who enjoyed the food almost as much as they enjoyed the entertainment.

The night would not have been made possible but for the students who came to work.  Students helped as celebrity servers, selling raffle tickets, and greeting guests.  EHS student helpers included Brianna Gomez, Joevelyn Garcia, Janece Garcia, Edgar Barraza, Sofia Zuniga, David Sanchez, Breanna Gonzalez, Berenice Sanchez, and Juanita Naranja.  It is the students and staff that help make nights like this a success!

Come get your grub on at Golden Corral and support Estrella High School at the same time!  On Thursday November 10, EHS will be hosting a School Night fundraiser at the Golden Corral at 420 North Dysart Road in Goodyear between 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Mention EHS and not only wiill you get a discount for each dinner your purchase, but you will be entered into a free raffle for lots of prizes!  Teachers and staff of Estrella High School will be serving you and EHS Rhythm will be performing for your enjoyment.

We hope to see you there!

On October 6, Estrella High School held a fundraiser event at Fresh and Easy.  Several teachers and students helped by assisting customers in bagging groceries, offering cheery greetings at the door, and asking customers to donate receipts.

With everyone's help, almost $300 was raised in just four hours!  The receipt collecting continues until the end of December so tell everyone to shop at Fresh and Easy and donate their receipts to Estrella High School.  Every bit counts!

On Thursday, October 6, Estrella High School will be at the Fresh & Easy at Avondale Blvd and Van Buren  between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Support our school by donating receipts in the amount of $20 and up.  For every receipt we collect, Fresh & Easy will give Estrella High School $1.  Every little bit counts!

Ask friends and neighbors to shop at Fresh & Easy and give their receipts to us too!

If you cannot make it to the location on Thursday, you can still turn in receipts to the school by dropping them off at the front office from now until December 31.

Any student wanting to help at the event should talk to Ms. Alston.  We need your support!
