Estrella High School has a ZERO ABSENCE POLICY and operates on a 36 and 37 day block schedule.  Students must be enrolled in a minimum of three classes each block.  Additional classes are approved by Administration on a case by case basis.

Students are required to be present every day.  If a student misses a period, he/she must flex (make-up) the time and work that he/she has missed.  The day must be flexed in the same week the class was missed.

Students are only allowed to flex four class periods per class.  On the fifth day of absence, students will not receive credit for each class that has exceeded the four absence rule.

Failure to flex all absences during the block will result in a failing mark for each class with outstanding unflexed absences.
