Dear Estrella Students and Parents,
As we approach the start of another school year, we want to inform you of upcoming events, changes, and requirements. We are having mandatory class meetings with an administrator to explain our Title I program, hand out schedules, take ID pictures, meet with transportation, and update all forms needed for the school year. Please review the schedule below for the correct meeting time. Wednesday July 24th Thursday July 25thth 9th,10th, 11th grade 11am or 4pm 12th grade 11am or 4pm Everyone must check in upon arrival with a parent or guardian. You will receive a packet of information that must be updated for the current school year. These will include enrollment, new forms required by the state, No Child Left Behind, and transportation. We will have staff on hand to assist you with the forms. If you have moved or changed phone numbers over the summer, please bring a utility bill for proof of residency. All students need to bring with them a $20 activity fee. This is used to provide activities, festivals, and events to students throughout the year. It is a one time fee. The fee does not include participation in athletics or entrance to athletic events or prom. It is to help ensure that we can still provide fun activities throughout the year. For students who will be using our transportation services to get to and from school, the transportation supervisor will be here to meet with you and answer any questions you may have. Those students who will be driving to school need to bring $10, their driver’s license and proof of insurance so that they can receive a parking pass for the 2013-14 school year. For students that will be participating in Athletics for the upcoming school year and need a physical there will be an agency on campus Thursday July 25th from 12 noon-5 pm to do physicals for your convenience. Please call the office to schedule an appointment. The cost of the physical will be $20 due when services are rendered. You will be receiving your schedule at the meeting. Schedule change requests may be submitted that day and will be taken until August 2nd. Please contact the office on August 5th if you made a request at the meeting. No schedule changes will be made once school starts. Please make plans to join us on the designated date listed above to receive all the information for the new year.
