Important changes will be occuring with scheduling for Block 4!
Today, students were given a letter to take home detailing the changes happening. In addition, this letter will also be mailed out with each report card on Friday, March 15. Estrella High School is switching the time frame for classes offered Block 4. There will still be a full comprehensive morning and afternoon schedule (students attending a minimum of three classes) with transportation being provided at both time frames. The schedule for morning classes will still begin at 8:00am and end at 1:45pm for those students requiring trasportation to and from school. The afternoon classes will begin as 12:00pm and end at 5:25pm for those students requiring trasportation to and from school. We will be providing breakfast and lunch to the morning students and lunch to the afternoon students. There will no longer be a dinner service as school ends at 5:25pm. In addition to this, the school office hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:00pm to 5:45pm. The Friday schedule will remain the same with the office open from 7:30am to 4:00pm Estrella High School appreciates your understanding and cooperation with regards to this issue. All returning students who did not come to the Back-to-School meetings need to come to the main office between 7:30 am to 5:00 pm next week in order to fill out required forms, take an ID picture, and pay the activity fee. Once all requirements have been satisfied, you will receive your schedule. All paperwork must be completed before you may attend classes.
Contact the main office at 623-932-6562 for questions. Tomorrow, Thursday, December 22 will be the last day of block 2. The short day schedule will be in effect.
STUDENTS MUST ATTEND SCHOOL or be counted absent and lose credit in all classes. Refer to the short schedule times here. Morning students who attend a fourth hour class will not be required to stay later, and afternoon students who attend a third hour will not be required to come earlier. For any other questions or concerns relating to the short schedule and/or the last day of block 2, please contact the front office at 623-932-6562. The fall session of AIMS is in a week. Juniors and Seniors who have not met the AIMS will be required to take the tests.
The testing dates are as follows: October 25 -Writing October 26 - Reading October 27 - Math A completed schedule for all students will be posted in the next few days, so be sure to check back often.
